Reusing People, Group, and Role Elements

Requirement:

An easy way to find existing roles/people/groups so that they can be assigned again in the model.

Scenario:

I have a project with about 15 maps (and getting bigger every day). I have 20+ roles/groups assigned within the project. I add a new process. I want to give activity ownership to an existing role. It is non-trivial to find the existing role so that it can be resued.

For example, I can run report Ownership Document to see if I called the role Sales Engineer or SE. But once I run that report, it gives me only a list of activities where the role has ownership. It does not give me a way to easily find the process (and therefore be able to reassign the same person).

We we will be adding additional views to the Explorer Tree that will make it easy for users to sort elements by type, alphabetically, etc., in addition to the current default view that automatically sorts elements based on which Process Maps they are assigned to.

I think we may also be adding the ability to filter the Explorer Tree to only show certain element types, such as People, Groups and Roles. We will also be adding a search utility to the Explorer Tree toolbar (like we have in R3, but better).

These enhancements should make it very easy to find and reuse elements.
