If I create a new Activity in a VSM, but later learn that it's actually a Database, is there a way for me to change from the one to the other without deleting it and creating a new one, then updating the description, etc.?

Justin,

Thanks for your post. We have already added this a new capability in our upcoming version 4.0 release. Instead of having to create a new element, copy/paste the details, and then delete the old element (as you have described above), you will simply right-click and select the new element type from a drop down list.

Version 4.0 also allows you to past any image into the Process Modeler and, using the same right-click option described above, convert that shape into a reusable element with detailed properties (description, comments, owner, etc.).

Unfortunately, this is not available in the current version 3.7 ... and we haven't yet publicly announced a release date for version 4.0, but we are getting close.

We will be emailing all registered users in advance of our official release date, so please keep an eye out for an announcement regarding version 4.0 availability.

Best regards,

-Andy Ibbotson
