From my searching and trying to use the system it looks like the only way I will be able to share a file to work with others will only be via the repository. Is this the case?

I can see the value and speed to produce the web pages and material as a result of my work but if this is going to be the only distribution model of the output I feel it will be very limiting in the update of this client.

I can see the value in the full price. but for two or three people wishing to use this tool having to spend US$7500 to be able to work together to me does not seam to offer any value. Are you able to give some further explanation of the value proposition this product and server would have for a small business?

Marc,

Thanks for your posts and for your recent purchase. Two of the biggest upgrades in version 4 are the embedded LiveModel database and embedded LiveModel server that come packaged with the new Process Modeler.

These LiveModel database adds significant flexibility on the modeling side and the LiveModel server enables unprecedented interactvity and "interconnectedness" among the various "web views" that can be accessed via the "Publish" menu.

In terms of sharing your content, we plan to offer a free hosted service where Process Modeler users can publish process models to their hosted account and share the web based views (Synthis Maps, Process Narrative, etc.) with others - similar to something like Google Calendar or any of the other hosted Google apps.

In addition the the free hosted service for Process Modeler R4 customers, we plan to offer additional tiers of paid hosted services. We are also planning to sell installable versions of our new LiveModel server at a fraction of the price of a full Synthis Repository.

Please keep sharing your feedback with us. We look forward to making these new products and services available to you and the rest of our user / customer base shortly.

Best Regards,

John Leonard
